William Shakespeare - King Lear

Yesterday I´ve been again to the Burgtheater. This time I saw "King Lear" and it was the first play, which I saw in the Burgtheater ,with historical stage design and historical costumes! Only until the end of the play the costumes got modern.


This was also the first time when I saw such a long play! It started at 6 p.m. and ended 10:20 p.m. - there ´ve been two breaks á 15 minutes. So the play lasted nearly four hours!


But it was it worth! =) .. I really liked it. The actors´ve been great .... for me it´s always hard to explain a play, because you feel it, when you see it, but.. on the next I never find words for it.

I like the play and I´d definitly recommend it to you! ; )
